Oh, okay, the introduction makes sense in that light. Yes, I’ve had similar experiences with cutting down to fit word limits. xD Maybe if you were somehow able to make it apparent that the introduction is the same narrator but decades later, it would give it some context that would explain the change in style (so it would still fit with the edited story). *shrugs*

I’ll go through the document tomorrow, if that’s all right. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do it sooner. I had a ton of schoolwork and tests piling up this week, and this will be the first time I can get to it.

Wow, that’s awful. I’ll pray for your mom. I’m glad you’re dealing with it by writing the truth instead of turning away from it. Most of my extended family are not Christians either, and it’s terrifying to think about the what ifs of something happening to them and the guilt (appropriate or not) that I’ll probably face if they die unsaved. So this story is kind of encouraging to me as well.
