I think beta reading–feedback and critique in general–is one of the strongest ways to improve your writing, to find inspiration and encouragement, and one of the most important parts of the writing process. I’m very particular about how I give feedback and I do my best to keep constructive as well as encouraging things in mind when I do. I’ve found critique most invaluable personally.
