“It is a problem since we don’t know where we are at,” Marnin looked thoughtful. “How did you escape?” He looked at Harley.

“There was a doorway, in my cell all of a sudden,” the young man replied. “When I walked through, I was here, crawling out of a tree.”

“A door between worlds,” Marnin said thoughtfully. “Intriguing. Miss Finley if you would be so kind as to shine your light over here.”

While Gwyneth prattled to the two siblings about pink unicorns, he bent down beside a tree. A huge hole gaped in its trunk. Groping around inside, after the light from Finley’s glove failed to illuminate, it was discovered that the whole went deeper than the tree.

“I do believe we have a beginning of a solution,” Marnin said thoughtfully, using his cane to get up.

Shadows crept up David’s arms. It was getting into his brain. Panic only fueled the change. He needed to get back into the light. Where was his phone? His hand ghosted through the light. Noises, all around. Why was he losing control so quickly. Shadows pulsed in his head. In the light of the phone his eyes flickered, shadows leaking into them, covering them with darkness.

“Just stop!” David screamed trying to clasp his head.
