Oo, I read Pride and Prejudice for the first time recently, and I like it a lot!

Neat! I started four or five years ago, as well…it seems like a lot of people around here have, lol. 🙂

I so agree with you about mindsets in different eras…I think it is neccessary to understand that in order to write his-fic in a given era…and it is SO much fun! I have studied a LOT of different eras and cultures, countries, etc, and find them all so fascinating. Then the problem is that you want to write a book or two set in all of them!
