Whoa! This one sounds interesting. Initial ideas off the top of my head:

-Ending a toxic relationship

-The hero doesn’t get the girl and is happy staying single / his best friend gets the girl

-Villain finds fulfillment in being a hero rather than a villain

-The mother and the child never reunite but both gain equally loving families

I’d love to see what other ideas you guys have, because they’re probably more original than mine XP
