@steward-of-the-pen Here’s a tip from my own experience:

If the WIP you currently have isn’t fun or inspiring or something that makes you happy but you want to finish it… put it aside for now. I do this quite a bit, actually. If I get tired of a project, I switch to a different one that DOES make me happy and excited. Just keep switching back and forth, and you’ll get them both done eventually, but only have to work on them as you like to.

Plus, later, when you come back, you might have new ideas, have learned new stuff, and since you’ve been gone for so long, it’s easier to make changes that need to be made.
