    oh that’s super interesting! I bet it’s fun (and challenging) distinguishing each language and speech pattern.

    @i-david

    yes! That’s it. I was thinking it was the ancient language, but couldn’t remember and was too lazy to google. Pardon my being a knulheim. I can definitely relate to not focusing on language heavily. It’s not my favorite aspect and I’ve only started really pushing my boundaries with it in the last couple years.

    oh wow! That’s incredibly interesting, but I definitely see how difficult that is. I’m sorry, I don’t know of any good recourses for you, but you might check out the books Everyday life in the 1800’s, or even Everyday life in regency and Victorian England, possibly. They both have sections with popular stang words of the era.

    oh I love that idea! Characterizing your clans by the words they use is a fantastic idea. And the dialect thing kind of reminds me of China. My friend lived there for years and said that even though the language is the same, western China has a total indifferent dialect, and words take on different meanings for them.

    oooh, I love it. Haha Tony is a good name. Yes, even if he speaks English, if it’s not his first language that will definitely impact his speech pattern. I worked with a guy who’s first language was Spanish, and then English, and the way he talked he was translating to English in his a head, so he had extra words in there that native English speakers wouldn’t say. They weren’t incorrect, just overly wordy.
