Calla glanced worriedly at Reyna, but turned back, reaching out to the wolves with her mind.

What are you doing attacking my companions and I? She demanded.

One wolf, probably a beta since she had killed the alpha stepped forward and said We have to. We have to. But we will spare you, Lady. The others we must kill. 

No! Calla ordered, causing the wolf to cringe and tuck its tail between it’s legs. No. You will leave my companions or I will slaughter you and your entire pack

Lady, please– 

I said No. Leave. Now.

Lady—

<i>I SAID GO. </i>Calla roared. The wolf yelped, putting back his ears. Then he turned and barked to the other wolves. They followed him, and disappeared. Calla smiled. “I wasn’t expecting that to work. They’ll be back, I think, but let’s hope that we can make it to that castle before then.”
