    @jenwriter17 *grins* Anytime.

    @sam-kowel That’s fine! I only added a word count so it wouldn’t turn into a book ;). I liked that you picked the emotion joy, but didn’t name it to avoid emotional telling. And I love the first line. XD Good job!

    I had a suggestion but then realized that it kinda goes against the instructions I gave you. XD

    What I meant to say in my instructions is that the atmosphere must contrast the emotion, BUT it doesn’t have to be described like it contrasts the emotion, if that makes sense. It can still be described through the character’s eyes, as long as it wouldn’t ordinarily suit their mood. XD But you all still did a fantastic job. 🙂

    @martina Oooh, I love how you used a unique perspective to provide a reason for the joy the child is feeling. Very effective, but sad at the same time. I also liked that her thoughts interacted with the setting. She had thoughts on why the rain was fun, instead of just saying it was fun and leaving it at that.

    My advice for both of you is probably to describe the atmosphere more through your character’s eyes, but since that’s not what the prompt said to do, you did a fantastic job. 🙂

    For all of you, I love how your different pieces show what you pay attention to as a writer. I love how we’re all unique in our style :). Thanks for giving the prompt a shot!
