Towards the edge of the kingdom of Erekdale, encased in a smoggy haze, lie piles and piles of ideas. Rotten ideas, really. So overused and old that they just had to be thrown out. Abandoned plot bunnies, forgotten settings, and characters left for dead are shoved around by bulldozer, until a scavenger picks them up or they disentigrate into the hard-packed, dusty ground.

The master of this dumping ground is called Pew. He’s a pertsnickety old fellow, more machine than man, but quite friendly to young blood. Rumor has it that he even mentors young Ereki – although his advice can hardly be called sound. A shovel is always in his mechanical hand, and he uses it to clear pathways through the degenerate ideas and clobber tresspassers upside the head.

The sign below the coils of barbed wire on the chain-link gate says:

Hours: Pew’s wake-up time – when Pew gets tired
Tresspassers will be fed to the wood chipper.
