I’m going to join in with my character.

Belle Pole ages a lot over the course of my series, but I’m going to work with her age in my current novel (23). She is a Private Investigator who started her trade trying to solve the unsolved murder of her parents and now has grown attached to the people around her.

    1. She doesn’t know how much she craves affection. She sees herself as pretty stable and independent but fails to realize just how much it kills her when she is alone.

    2. Usually, she tries to “solve it”, trying to find out why it happened, or how to fix it. She grows distant as well and doesn’t really want to process it (which always ends poorly).

    3. Conceited people. There are two, in particular, she doesn’t like (A “star” in a bunch of bad films who thinks he’s the bomb, and an entertainment reporter (though she eventually becomes frenemies with the reporter)).

    4. She admires empathetic people, mainly because she’s so bad at empathy herself, but wishes she was better.
