@the-fledgling-artist I think you might be thinking too much into this, it’s okay to simply say “thank you,” Trust me, no one is thinking you are being boastful. There are artists who fish for compliments and I know you aren’t one of them. Be gracious, and if they press forward, tell them that it does take time and loads of practice. There is nothing wrong with that.
