    Jeez, I didn’t realize this would be so popular so soon! XD

    @chalice

    Hello! I don’t think I’ve seen you before on here, so nice to meet you!

    Ooh yes, royalty is always fun for me to read and write, even though I generally despise generic princess stories *cough* Disney movies other than Tangled and Big Hero 6 *cough*

    Haha, the funny thing about me and creating government systems is IRL, I dislike diving into politics or anything related(unless it’s about wars). I personally find it a really boring topic that my only purpose for looking at is to watch debates and then see how people react throughout the internet for my own amusement. (Yeah, I’ll admit it, I think it’s hilarious to see how outraged some people react to things like elections and such.)

    In fantasy though, I love incorporating things like culture, style, language, and government into my world building. I’m a geek who loves to draw what I write, so being able to create concept art for my novels is a must. And for concept art I need concepts of world building. XD

    As for tips–Pinterest is your friend. Use it to search for inspiration or posts about world building, and follow and look through other people’s boards about world building and culture/etc. for ideas. Also, one thing I love doing is incorporating other irl cultures a little bit into my writing. So like I have a fantasy culture that’s slightly based on Japanese culture, as is that land’s language. Then in my main WIP I have lands with cultures based on the Middle East, South Islands, Russia, and Africa. I take little peices of information from each culture and government and incorporate them into one big government or multiple smaller ones. And for tips on royalty–again, Pinterest has some amazing charts and references for the royal/noble chain of command, castle structure/materials, armor, weapons, etc… in fact, I’ve got several boards on Weapons and stuff like that, so if you wanted to look me up I’m Inkdragon on Pinterest. Or if you’re having trouble finding me under that name, try search for a board named Firemaster. I’m pretty sure I have the only one name such. XD

    @i-david

     Agreed.

    The Dark Knight trilogy is amazing and so well done. If all DC films had that level of writing, directing, and acting, they might possibly surpass Marvel. XD

    I personally really like the Captain America and Iron Man movies, but I also love their new Spiderman and the new animated comic book stylized Into The Spider-verse is a film I’m super excited to see both from a story and an art perspective. And Avengers 4… it’ll either be heartbreaking or amazing(or both XD). But it will be quite the film.

    And dragons are epic. I named myself after one, so they must be pretty cool. XD

    Oof yeah villains are a bit of a topic for me to get into–but I hate cookie cutter characters in general, but especially villains. I might be able to get over a basic self-insert MC like Bella from Twilight if there’s a good, compelling villain that is both sympathetic but to be feared, but if not that’s one more book I’ll be throwing against the wall. 😉

    I agree. XD I definitely started quite the topic. I wonder if it’ll become like the infamously long Writer’s Corner from KP… I actually wouldn’t doubt it with how many fantasy writers there are on here.

    Also, you should totally join us soon. You’re a fellow world-building nerd, aren’t you?
