@quinn-ofallon That’s a good idea, because my squirrel characters do understand English (it gets too weird if you don’t blur the line between imagination and reality somewhere). I just took the empty coffee shop thing literally and didn’t consider my options. 😛 BUT…that still leaves me with the question of how I deal with wild animals in human settings and without human dialogue to clear things up. I guess one option is to go with 3rd person omniscient narration instead of 3rd person limited, but that’s jumping the gun like @brandon-miller said… XP (On that note, my apologies, sir; I’m a chronic gun-jumper. You should probably expect this kind of crazy from me on a regular basis…)

@grace-tolkienista Oh my. XD I love your description. I’m a huge fan of the coffee shop vibe and aesthetic, but I love how you manage to make me annoyed right along with the character at how everything looks and smells like coffee…and you even poke fun at Instagram and chalkboard lettering. XD
