What it sounds like you’re saying is that the ideal society, ruled by God, would be socialist by nature… and would not fail because it had the perfect ruler? Thus we shouldn’t attack socialism on a moral standpoint, but instead as a system that fails in a corrupted world, because it cannot be done correctly. @ericawordsmith what do you think?

That’s an interesting idea, that I would have to study more closely, learning the ins and outs of socialism as though it were my own home… so I’ll give that some thought.

As to your comment about slavery… I would argue that it’s not all wrong. There are times when it’s forbidden, but that’s not always. Lines are drawn in the sand about where it’s lawful and where it’s not. And I think to a large degree we can still apply those lines to society now.
