@kelly-lundgren Cool! Sometimes one of the best ways we can make it a little easier on ourselves is to design our cast of characters with strong contrasts like you did. Each member is just that much easier to remember, and will stick out to our readers more. 🙂

@princess-foo What you described is an excellent way to get into the heads of your characters!

Now, if you are having trouble with getting a little deeper with your side characters, what are some things that you think you could work on in your creative process to make sure they have more substance than just a few basic personality traits?

I love your creative piece! I think the “telling” was okay for a short piece like this; you disguised it well. Also, I get the feeling that although your character doesn’t say much, she is very strong and determined inside, with a strong sense of right and wrong. Perhaps not too much of a thinker, but definitely not only a feeler, either.
Am I right?

(Btw, the way your worked your worldbuilding into the scene by little bits of info here and there was excellent! Well done. 🙂 )
