I’ve done NaNo for the past few years (got to 50k in the first two weeks each time, because I’m insane), and the BEST advice I can give you is…don’t even think about perfection. My NaNo drafts are the most horrendous things you’ve ever laid eyes upon. They’re full of typos. I switch tenses by accident. I go to third person for a few sentences because I forgot what I was doing. I make notes to myself in the middle of paragraphs if I get a good idea that I desperately don’t want to forget. Don’t let any of the mistakes distract you. JUST WRITE.
