@the-fledgling-artist Nearly two weeks late on this… I am so, so sorry.

So, yes of course I think that yes we need to be mindful of what we are advertising, but I am not saying that this means we can only draw things from Christian books or shows, there are redeeming qualities in a lot of other books and shows as well that we can still support and have fun with by drawing fanart.

Everyone has a different standard about what they are okay with watching and what they aren’t, and as long as you know that something isn’t affecting you negatively, and you are aware of what your boundaries are for media and you know how to find redemptive qualities in a story, by all means, enjoy it and have fun with a little fanart. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Just don’t let it totally consume you.

I hope that makes sense, it is late here and while this makes sense in my head right now, I hope it is coming out alright in words 😀 Feel free to ask more questions, I don’t have all the answers, and I’ll try to respond in a more timely manner.
