I step forward and graciously accept the keys. I can’t keep the grin off my face as I spin in place, surveying the network of treehouses and bridges. Several monkeys swing from branch to branch far above, chattering excitedly. A feeling of elation rises in my chest.

“I have a feeling I’m gonna like it here,” I say, still looking up. Then, without warning or really knowing why, I dash off down one of the rope bridges, stumbling at first but soon gaining my balance, ready to explore the realm of Avensbeck.

@gabriellepollack I’m glad to be here. 🙂
