@mairin-atha I did! I’ll have to dig around in the dark spiderwebs of my brains but I should be able to remember some things. The main refining, I think, was when they melted the silver and when it was liquid the impurities/other metals would sink/float (can’t remember which xD) and they could be separated. This would be done several times over to make sure the silver was pure.

I think that the antagonist having a negative arc would actually strengthen the MC’s arc if you could structure it right. If you make the MC believe the same as the antagonist and actually look like SHE is going to have the negative arc too, then when she realises how terrible and wrong that is and desperately turns back the other way to the truth…I think it would be really engaging and maybe even draw the reader in more than just a positive arc would.
