I agree with @princess-foo. I don’t think there should be a narrator.  I propose that the only ‘narration’ should be demarcations that would appear in a normal chat, which can indicate scene changes/new conversations. This would probably be a time marker of some time (for example: the chat begins _# hours/days ago and as you read through the log you get closer and closer to ‘real-time’, which is when the story ends).

Also, it would be cool to end the story with some emotional twist that ends with ” (character) is typing… ”

…Or something along those lines. I’d love to look for artistic ways that we can accentuate the strengths of telling a story via chat in all the little details. 🙂
