Oh, wow. The others have great thoughts. I just wanted to add:

Sometimes I fear romanticism in putting emotion in my stories, that I’ll make the whole point trying to convince people only through emotion, which isn’t something I want to do. I tend to be more emotional on a whole, and my stories often reflect that, but I also want to teach people through my stories, not just delight them.
