@brandon-miller Interesting. Just so you know, in my experience when an introvert is listening to you, they are usually thinking good thoughts about what you are saying. And personally, I would be thinking about what to say to you if you ask me for input. Because I want to give you the best answer I can. And to do that, I need to think. I don’t want to just give you the first thing that popped into my head, because that isn’t usually the best thing to say. So I take a while to start talking.
If you are someone I am comfortable with, then I will talk a lot more, mainly because I am comfortable with you and am not afraid of you judging me. You say extroverts say the first thing that comes into their mind. That is one reason I was so afraid of them. I was afraid they were going to hate what I did, and tell me that right away without thinking about how that would make me feel.
I wouldn’t say we are the coolest people. 😛 I find that when I get comfortable with people, and I have something to say, then I will just start gabbing. If anyone ever gets to hear me rant about something I am passionate about, you know you have earned my trust. Because when I go on big rants, I am not carefully constructing my speech, I am opening myself up to failure and your judgement.
And I did that just now, although being in a chat forum is a lot easier, because I have a little more time to prepare things. And in real life I would never have just joined this conversation without first knowing you very well.
Sorry for the rant. 🙂
A different hill, eh? What is your go to party game?
