“You better come with us so you don’t get killed!!!!!!!” the child shouted.
Goya was certainly not inclined to follow the two strange and utterly unhelpful maze dwellers through their whirling vortex of darkness. However, the skeleton flung itself at him, and while he wrestled with it for control of his knives, the spider succeeded in squeezing through the narrow gap. It slammed into them, knocking the pair through the portal moments before it closed.
Kianda dreamed of blue moss and glowing beetles. It was strangely pleasant: peaceful, even. She leaned lethargically against the soft moss and watched a handsome man with absurd mane of hair come through a door that appeared magically in the wall of greenery (only, it wasn’t green, of course, so what would one call that?). Chaos exploded onto the scene in the form of a well dressed gentleman and a cute kid, followed closely by a spider the size of a small vehicle. Slowly, Kianda got to her feet, hearing the rushed conversation as if from a great distance, noting vaguely that her movements were oddly jerky.
She took a step towards the man (the other two had disappeared, swallowed by the swirling vortex of darkness on her right). Catching her foot on a thorny vine, she tripped, snatching at the man instinctively to stop her fall.
He obviously misinterpreted the situation, and Kianda found herself fighting to keep him from impaling her on his hunting knives, much to her annoyance. Then something knocked both of them over and the world exploded into shards of light.
