Wincing under his mask, Hades passively said. “John Doe was my professional name, not my birth name. And it is the name I will go by.”

“Professional name, you say,” Arsene, undeniably not missing the chance to start mischief, started his tricks once again, “What is your profession, Mr. Doe?”

He’s digging for information. And if he wasn’t comfortable telling them his birth name, he certainly wasn’t okay with sharing his profession with them. Mix in a little truth to get him quiet and then he can go on with his life.

“I’m a wanderer of sorts.” Hades answered.

“Hmm,” Arsene was planning something, but what? “Have you ever watched the Sound of Music?”

And then started singing under his breath. Just enough for everyone to hear.
