Oh no don’t worry, you didn’t come off as harsh at all, I wanted to say before that the sexual attraction for my characters wasn’t really important to me.
Your Sleeping Beauty retelling sounds awesome! Especially the gender reversal, that will be an interesting take on the story! Now that we’re on the topic, I suppose I should say that the main romance in my WIP series is pretty much the focal point of the characters journeys. I know what I was saying earlier about my characters not being interested in love or attraction, but thats precisely why this couple is so important for me. They find each other in their brokenness and find love despite the outside forces of evil destroying everything. But that said, them being together is more of a choice than anything, because they are fully aware of the hardships that will take place should they decide to be together. Does that make sense?
Let me take this moment to say…I thought you’d recognize it!
And I’m glad I did XD
I LOVE HISTORY LESSONS! The more impromptu, the better! My sister is taking classes in Irish history and now Irish songs, and I’m learning this one with her. 🙂 I LOVE the song, though I’ve never read the real translation all the way through, so it’s actually my pick. She’s kind of luke-warm about it, but mwahahahah! I’m finally learning it.
Isn’t it interesting how war can produce some of the world’s best poetry?
Oh really? What parts of Irish history is she learning do you know? Its not something that a lot of people would willingly study cause – well I admit its very complicated and political 🙂 Thats so nice that you’re learning it together let me know how it goes!
Its very intriguing indeed but not very surprising either 🙂 I think war exposes the evil capable by mankind, so its impossible for poets to ignore it
