She exhaled as they were up in the air focusing on getting across. Any other person would have the capabilities to do this, but no, not a princess. Not this princess. She thought to herself. She missed Kalluns cue completely. “Let go” the words lingered in her mind until it clicked, “Oh!” She gasped and let go of him. She prepared herself to land on land, but suddenly her feet were wet and she knew she was going underwater.

“ELLIE!” Julian screamed.

She took a deep breath the moment before her head went under. The cold water stung like being poked with a thousand needles. Don’t panic! She thought. Of course, she never knew how to swim, but she had seen others do it before. It couldn’t be that difficult. She tried her best to relax in the freezing water and was able to open her eyesa althoughit didn’tfeel too good. This isn’t so hard after all she thought. But, it was getting darker, and suddenly she knew she wasn’t a swimmer. She was a sinker.

“Somebody do something!” Julian yelled. He couldn’t swim either.
