Oops, I’ve been off for a while! :/
@evelyn I’m doing a fanfiction challenge this month (an Inktober spinoff) and really enjoying it! It’s been great motivation to actually write because fanfiction is easier, and there’s so many scenes I’d love to fill in from my favorite book series. We’ll see about my WIP…
Thank you so much! I love writing poetry!
@elisha-starquill Thank you!! It’s hard to pin down sources of inspiration. A lot of it just comes randomly in little bits. Occasionally, I’ve used poetry prompt websites and found some inspiration from them (“Bedtime” actually came from a prompt along the lines of “write a poem with the title ‘Bedtime'”). I’d say the majority of my poems are from me thinking of a topic that means something to me and putting it to words (“Little Joys” and “We Will Survive” are both that type).
P.S. I find rhymezone.com super helpful! Sometimes a poet’s gotta cheat a little on rhymes. (*cough* more like cheat on most of my rhyming poems)
P.P.S. To anyone reading this who hasn’t looked at the doc, I disabled link sharing for that specific one because it showed my last name, and there’s a lot of sites I avoid sharing it on.
