Evangeline showed him the coffee cup, and he nodded. Why didn’t I think about coffee to the face?  The mug was then pushed into his hands… a prize from the hero.  

“You’re welcome,” she said.

Suddenly the look on Evangeline’s face was one of concern and sympathy. Walking around the corner she grabbed a pot of coffee, and a basket of condiments, pouring some of the drink for their friend at the table.

Emmit walked over to them and pulled up a chair for the red headed girl.

“Please have a seat,” he said, pouring a second cup of coffee for her. He then grabbed a third chair for himself and sat down getting a third cup.

The man at the front desk had passed out, falling onto the counter in such a way that he slid the the ground, his head falling to the rubber mat with no harm. So Emmit let him rest.
