“As fascinating as conversations regarding modern lands during the Middle Ages may be, we do have more important subjects in desperate need of discussing, do we not?” Rupert said.

“Right, sorry,” Hermione said, blushing. “We really do need to focus at a time like this.”

Rupert nodded and turned to Mercedes, Gabi, and Lia.

“It’s safer if you three girls stay here,” he said. “Don’t go wandering off on your own.”

Ron chose this moment to jump in. “Yeah, or else the crazy owl witch will eat you!”

“She doesn’t eat people, Ron,” Hermione rolled her eyes.
“How do you know? You haven’t seen what she does to her victims.” The redhead cackled.

Hermione shoved him away and turned to the others. “So what do the grown-ups think we should do?” She said with a small smile.

So I have a question. Are these castles meant to explore characters/relationships or to follow a plot? Because I feel like I might be focusing too much on the goal (defeating Macha) and not enough on character interaction.
