@silverclaw-bonnetfolly The Space Trilogy is really weird and even if you decide you don’t like OotSP, I strongly recommend you read the rest of it. Each of the three books is extremely different to the others and a crazy ride in general. That Hideous Strength in particular is one of the most influential books to my own writing life, even though it isn’t a particularly great book.

Also, I cannot stress how much you must read Till We Have Faces. I won’t give any more explanation. You just have to =P

@evelyn Thank you so much for the prayer. I’ve not read any more of the Enderverse beyond the core Ender Saga itself. I’ve heard the rest of the books are far more like Ender’s Game than Speaker for the Dead onward. Is that accurate?

Also, can you point me toward any resources on speechcraft and debate that you find helpful? I’ve never gone beyond Ars Rhetorica.
