I’ve never disposed of a book in the method that Ariel described but about a year ago I read the worst book I’ve ever come across. It was Christian historical fiction about an Aboriginal soldier in the Australian Imperial Force during WW1. That’s a huge research topic of mine, so I brought this book to read…

And honestly, it was the worst thing ever. It  was self-published (which isn’t necessarily bad), unedited, read like a bad first draft, historical inaccuracies…I felt like it treated Aborigines in a disparaging way and was really just Christian propaganda (I didn’t agree with the theology at all, in fact it made me rather uncomfortable)

I got rid of the book rather quickly, but I couldn’t burn it or anything because I didn’t paid a lot of money for it. 🙁
