What are y’alls favorite story characters (in other people’s stories) and why? What endeared you to them and why did you enjoy reading about them?

Mine was probably…As of right now I really like Ender from Ender’s Game. I love how Card showed you just how much he cares for his family…And then managed to tear that away from him. His voice and demeanor is also extremely endearing (pun intended), he’s like…Super determined and wants to get stuff done, but he’s just too. Small. XD

And on top of that, what is your LEAST favorite character and why?

ERAGOOOOON I CAN’T STAND THE GUY. The first 500 pages of that series (*cough* The whole first book that is *cough) was TORTURE. SO. BLAND. Paolini apparently got worldbuilder’s disease like Tolkien—That is, rather than writing about the growth of his character, he built a world and wrote about characters who do cool things in that world. Pah. I don’t CARE about how much grass is on the mountain, LET ME GET TO KNOW THE GUY. Thass da point. He was just totally uninteresting and he barely did cool things anyway, and there were no Samwise Gamgees to balance the terrible amount of worldbuilding and lore exposition. Okay, Murtagh maybe, but Murtagh is the only grace I would offer the book.
