Other tips I’ve heard that were helpful in just starting out in building a platform is to is to not try ALL the things all at once. Pick one social media platform to focus on and invest the time into. Not saying you can’t have a Facebook page, Pinterest, Instagram and a newsletter (cause I have all those :P) But focusing on learning about and utilizing one of those platforms helps so it’s not so overwhelming. 🙂 I’ve been focusing on Instagram lately cause it’s a hotspot for the readers I want to connect with and eventually reach with my books. 🙂 Plus Instagram post are so easy to share on other social media platforms.
