Another thing I like to do with an overwhelming word count goal, is set aside a whole day (sometimes that means like the whole afternoon and evening) and just write. It helps me wipe out a bit chunk of that word count in one day. Makes the goal as a whole seem a lot more feasible and then it’s more reasonable to sit down and meet a daily word count goal.
