@seekjustice Weird historical facts? 😛 Hm…

This was the first one I thought of:  In 1940s America film star Veronica Lake’s long hair was famous and much imitated.  This became a problem for women who worked in machine factories helping the war effort because their hair would get caught in the machinery.  The problem was so bad that Veronica Lake was asked to make a tutorial short film showing off a new updo that would be much more convenient and safe for a machine shop environment and asking women to adopt that hairstyle rather than her previous, famous but dangerous one.
