@eden-anderson 😀
Thank you! 😛 Carolyn Wells is one of my favorite authors, and I really love that quote. 😉
@samantha-pen In general, I usually say my favorite time period is American history from 1890-1970. More specifically speaking, I’ve basically traveled through American history, being interested in one decade after the next until I got to the 1970s and decided that going further was pointless because people started losing their morals and it wasn’t exciting to learn about them anymore. 😛
The reason for that being I don’t study historical events (usually) but the culture of the times, including fashion, music, language (slang, or popular phrases) protocols, and things of that sort. I didn’t do a very in-depth study of American history between 1400 and 1850, though I’ve done a lot of general study for those years. I started my real intense(ish 😉 ) studies around 1860, and the Civil War is one of the only wars for which I know actual battles and militaristic stories. 😉 That’s probably because I spent the most time on the Civil War. That was probably about four or five years ago. Later, I moved on to the late 1800s, then to the 1900s-1910s, and so on.
Are there any other specific periods(or places) you like besides the Civil War era?
