Perhaps start with a word count slightly above what you know you can for sure hit, and see how it goes. Like, for example. Say you know you can hit 1,000 words in a single week. I’d set the goal for maybe 1,500. To push yourself slightly above what you’re certain you can do. You don’t want to set it too high, (example: say you can hit 1,000, so you set your goal to 10,000) Cause then you’re setting yourself up for failure of sorts. It all depends on how much you want to write this week. 🙂

So, I think the goal for me will be, not necessarily a word count, but to start and finish the next chapter of my WIP. 🙂
