Yeah, the guilds take a bit of getting used to when it comes to figuring out how things are done, but everyone really is super nice. 🙂 They’re a great bunch and really fun.

I think that’s a great idea for story planning! Tension, theme, and a puzzle to solve are all really important for this project. 🙂

Oh fantasy is great! What is your favorite fantasy novel?

With G. K. Chesterton it depends on how much time you have to spend on it. All his Father Brown’s are short stories, but he did a epic mystery novel called the Man who was Thursday. I listened to the audiobook first, then got the book, and honestly there are still points I don’t understand in it. Like all his works it’s really deep, fantastic, and I really enjoyed the characters and their interactions. My husband and I enjoyed it so much that we still quote it from time to time at each other. 🙂 And no one dies in it.

Father Brown might be easier to start with, it doesn’t matter which book you start with, they’re all stand alone stories. But The Blue Cross might be the best one to start with, I think it’s his most well known and no one dies in it. I should warn you a lot of Father Brown’s are murder mysteries, but if you want a list of them that aren’t, let me know and I’ll be happy to make a list for you. Like I said, he’s currently my favorite. 🙂

I’ll have to get back to you on the mystery our MC would be solving, it’s a tough question. 🙂 But I think we need to figure out why his/her memory is so bad and that might be part of the mystery. Do they have a head injury? How did they get it?
And are they hunting for someone or trying to recover something? Do they remember what it is? Or do they just know they’re hunting for something precious? It could be anything, such as a prized personal keepsake or perhaps even a loved one.
And someone will need to pick out a setting to!
