The struggle is real as they say. When I sit down to write I try to make sure I don’t have any distractions, my household tasks are done for the moment (tasks never end, but if I have two hours of peace it’s enough). And I have nothing around me to break my focus. If I’m not feeling motivated, which isn’t uncommon, I play music on youtube which inspires me. I often have entire playlists for whatever story I’m working on, or I listen to what my story would sound like on https://www.ambient-mixer.com/.  Recently on the ambient mixer it’s been sounds of a Victorian London street.

When I get stumped on a scene or a plot hole, I book mark it to make sure I know to come back to it. And if I’m trapped on a long drive or stuck in one place with nothing to do, I make sure I have this list of problem scenes to sort out. It helps make the most of time I would probably be wasting otherwise. 🙂 Hope this helps.
