I have really struggled with this issue for the past year or so. When I wrote my one and only novel’s first draft, I had a significantly shorter work week, only 3 days a week (about 30 hours). I finished writing my draft in a year, and set about editing/rewriting, but at the first of last year, my work schedule changed to 40-45 hours a week, plus an hour commute one way. Now I’m left with so little time to write, I really have to carve it out. But being here at SE has really inspired me to try harder to make the time I have work. 😊
