A dragon.

Kami gazed at the beast. He’d seen such a creature once before. 14 years ago when they were rediscovered after being passed off as beasts of legend.

But sometimes legend turn out to be the truth.

Arrow Girl stood near it, trembling. Kami himself was still stunned that one was before him, a mighty one from tale and myth, unlike the rediscovered dragons which were much smaller.

Yet scientists strived to find the larger ones, though many reasoned they had taken flight to distant galaxies; ones that would never be fully explored.

Kami moved closer to Arrow Girl slowly. In a low voice, he whispered, “Don’t make any sudden movements that may alarm them. They seem intelligent so I’m not too concerned.”

She glanced at him and he gave her an easy smile. Hopefully, he could gain her trust, and the others one-by-one.
