Hey Samantha!! 🙂 I have been looking all over Story Embers for you. Gosh, We haven’t chatted in a while. Hey, I wanted your help with something, If you don’t mind.
I’m planning on writing a short story about baseball, I want to weave a Christian message in it. But I have a problem, A lot of baseball stories are incredibly cheesy and corny, and a lot of people might be turned off by it being about baseball, Funny thing is I don’t like sports lol. However, I don’t want the sports side of the story to be heavy. I want to show people bits of the sport. Like running from base to base, with the wind in your hair, and adrenaline flowing through your body, and the cheers from the crowds. I think my message would be about forgiveness, but my biggest question is forgive what? also, It would be about a superstar baseball player in the late 1940’s. He had been training ever since he was little, he worked very hard to become the celebrity player he is. But my biggest problem is to not make it preachy or corny, and how to put the message of forgiveness in my story, and not bore readers. What do you think?
