Anyways, welcome! (I saw you post in the word war thread and was suddenly scared that you’d been on here forever and I never realized. Turns out that’s not true.)

I hope that you enjoy your time here! Some tips I would have for the website is to subscribe to the various forums (@eden-anderson you might want to know this too). For example this forum is under New Wessex in the category “Announcements”. Hop back to that category page and there will be a button on one of the top bars that says “Subscribe”, and so whenever someone starts a forum in that category, you’ll be notified via email.

Likewise, you can click the box “notify me of follow-up replies via email” when you reply to a forum, and you’ll receive every response to that thread by email as well. (This option can fill up your inbox fast, so use it sparingly.)

Otherwise, I would say enjoy yourself! The goal is to draw encouragement from shared experiences and give each other advice towards our own writing goals. Please don’t feel awkward when posting (as an introvert, it took me a while to feel comfortable in my own skin here), and please don’t feel inferior to the many accomplished writers you’ll see hanging around here! I think it’s easy to slip into comparison, especially for those of us who don’t have an awesome blog or is published online constantly or whatever. It also took me a while to realize that I don’t necessarily have the time or the will to crank out a thousand words a day. Neither am I planning on pursuing authorship as a career.

Anyways, we’re here to pour into each other and grow together. Welcome! 🙂
