So update: Liana is doing much better!  Praise the Lord!  And thank you all for your prayers!  She did not need to stay at the hospital and has a concussion, but no skull damage…thank you, Jesus!  She is recovering, able to do a little already, and right now is struggling with patience.

Long story short, she was riding a bike when a car hit her.  Her helmet split in two, but thankfully, because she was wearing it, the damage was far less.  They said that if she hadn’t been wearing it, she probably would not have survived.

Right now, if you could pray for her, here are the main things:

– patience through this time of waiting to be able to do stuff.  It’s about a month’s time, but that’s a lot for an active girl like herself.

-peace from Jesus, that he will show her his sovereignty through the trials and give her a peace that surpasses her circumstances.

– Smooth recovery.  She’s still dealing with amnesia.  Prayer that the Lord gives her back her memory in full.

– Willingness to let Jesus take control and guide her with his word.

– thankfulness for his protection over her life!

Thank you all for praying!  She really appreciates it.

One practical thing you all can do…she super needs encouragement.  Could you all just type a little note and send it to me at libby.powell@frontier.com or post it right here, or tag me somehow?  I will collect them all and give them to her.  I know she would be so encouraged!
