Everyone’s stories sound so cool!! I’m dying to read all of them now.
My main book is called Blood Brothers and it’s set in 1992. It’s about these three kids who get lost in the woods after a tornado flips over their track bus. One of them’s super naive and scared of pretty much everything, one of them is basically a lone wolf school bully, and the third is outwardly perfect but has some stuff to work on. There’s a lot of conflict between the three and then with people and animals stalking them.
I’ve been working on it since I was in seventh grade (I’m a high school senior now) and I think it’s almost reached a point where I’m ready to share it. It’ll be the first in a series but my biggest problem is having novel #4 completely planned while I have no idea what I’m doing with this one 😫 do y’all think I should stop and work on that one or work on them both at the same time? I’m worried about losing the idea but I don’t want to get distracted (my mom wants me to get Blood Brothers out there before the end of high school).
I also have an idea for a short story collection about twins growing up in rural Appalachia sometime after 1942. My working title is February 30th and Other Stories—I’ll be writing the first for my creative writing elective at school.
Are y’all more of planners or improvisers? I can’t figure out what works best for me.
Good luck with your projects, Avensers! I’m excited to see what y’all do 🙂
