Hello! Yes, I’m the one with the haphazard flower crown. I am exceedingly excited over making a part of the Story Embers community!

I answer to Abby, Abigail, Abigator, Abichuela (green bean in Spanish), Brown Braids, Music Box, Drama Queen, Baby Booboo, and Bashby (Don’t ask about the last two…They have to do with a mind complex–not mine–but of my siblings…): Lady of Chairel is a reference to Anne of Green Gables alluding to “The Lady of Shallot” and the name of a lake down the road from my house. You may call me Abby, Lady of Chairel, or any other fitting nomenclature which you happen trip upon.

Now that we’ve got that cleared out of the way, let me describe myself in a couple sentences. I am sixteen years old–going on twenty, my dad would say–look about thirteen, but my brain is middle-aged–according to a supremely reliable quiz. Somewhere down the line, my ancestor must have been a pygmy or a pixie: I’m quite short. I love traipsing about barefoot, singing at all unearthly hours of the day and night, dancing in the rain, and swinging on lampposts. Besides these most respectable hobbies, I practice piano, watch old movies, read novels and stories, and flatter myself with the title of “Amateur Writer.”

Story-telling is my passion. Someday, I hope to write at least one beautiful, truthful novel: that is one of my many dreams. For now, I have stuck to short stories and the dangling epic story-lines. However, this spring, under the guidance of a creative writing course, I am striving to complete my first novella. I’m so happy I have a God-honoring writing community to help me along!
