@karthmin, that really cleared it up for me, thank you! I never thought of character arcs as breaking the character into pieces and putting them back together again. That really changes my perspective and helps me think it through.

I understand that that kind of arc has to be written carefully. It’s probably the only one I’m ever going to attempt, as it’s turning out to be much, much harder than I thought it would be when I first came up with the idea. It’s just been really fascinating to me and I had to attempt it at least once!
