I agree with all of that above 😀 One thing I do before I start giving feedback is ask them what they are looking for.  If there is a particular spot that they want me to look at; if they would prefer more grammar edits or more story based edits. I definitely like to comment on the sentences that I like, or a particular word that they used that I liked etc.  Another thing you can do is take it in sections/strides if you are worried that you may give them an overload of feedback you can do like 2 or 3 paragraphs at a time or something like that.  A small tip on how I actually edit sometimes is reading the piece aloud.  If you can’t understand the sentence or you can’t even figure out if the sentence is wrong or confusing just read it out loud.  Anyway I hope that helps!
