Here are some of the first ones that popped in my head:

Orphan spends his whole life fighting against the kingdom because he was told the King murdered his mother. Learns that the king is his father.

A young girl has been imprisoned in a tower her whole life. She finally escapes into the village and notices dark paintings of wilted flowers and most disturbingly a dead queen. She asks a villager what it means and he explains it’s about the young princesses’ touch of death. The girl is horrified but the villager tells her not to worry because the princess has been locked in a tower.
